The historic Stapleford Park Country House Hotel and Sporting Estate in Leicestershire has just installed biometric fingerprint terminals to provide accurate real-time staff attendance data for the HR and payroll teams.
Like many hospitality venues, Stapleford Park employs a diverse range of personnel including casual and agency staff, and ensuring accurate, reliable time and attendance data can be a problem. Even if staff remember to complete and return paper-based time sheets, they can be prone to accidental errors and false entries are not unknown.
Installation of a biometric time and attendance system for food manufacturer UGO Foods
UGO Foods employs over 100 production staff and operates a broad range of shifts as the company operates around the clock to supply retailers like Waitrose and John Lewis Food Halls.
The company decided on implementing Bodet’s biometric time and attendance system because its handscan terminals are easy to use and it is able to record reliable time and attendance information : “The staff took to the new system quickly as it was very easy for them to use,” said Samantha Hatton, HR manager of UGO Foods. “They simply place their hands on the scanner as they arrive or leave and the scanner captures the handprint which is compared against a stored profile to identify them.”
Talk Talk effectively manage its employees time and attendance
Leading telecom company Talk Talk, has just installed a new digital time and attendance system at its Solihull headquarters and five of it’s regional shops. The system provided by The Bodet Group uses networked biometric scanners to acquire real time staff attendance data to reduce HR administration time and improve workforce management.
Talk Talk’s business development manager, Howard Kanzira said, “Like many companies, we used a paper based system to record staff attendance, but we found this wasn’t working effectively and was open to abuse. With 27 shops around the UK, we needed a system that would provide reliable and accurate real time data both for payroll and personnel management at all our sites”
